 ARGOLIDA VALLEY - PELOPONNESE

Domaine Skouras is located in the Peloponnese, Greece. The Peloponnese is mountainous and is shaped somewhat like a giant hand with impassable mountain ridges extending like fingers into the sea. Between the mountain ridges are narrow valleys, which are isolated from one another, creating a unique microclimate.

Peloponnisos is a blessed land full of nature's gifts: World-famous for its citrus fruits (oranges, lemons, tangerines) its olive oil and olives, and for its wine.

Hercules kept the story alive over centuries. Aghamemnon, the king of Mycenae, was enjoying the Nemean wines with golden cups 2800 years ago.

The Argolida valley is a region with an illustrious past and exciting present, is easily accessed by car from Athens and/or Patras via the Athens - Tripolis highway.

Mycenae, Epidavros, Argos and Nafplio are here, each with its own impressive histories

Nafplio was the first capital of Greece after the Ottoman Empire. Today it is a lively town with impressive buildings and squares untouched by time.
